Get to Know us

Our founder, Rochelle Nawrocki Gorey, grew up in a household living paycheck to paycheck and understands first hand how important and life changing connections to community resources can be.

After spending her entire career focused on community organizing and public policy work, Rochelle recognized that something was missing from the way the lending industry was dealing with families who were behind on their mortgage because the root cause of the delinquency was not being discussed.

She observed that too often those that were experiencing financial hardship did not know about the local resources that existed to help, and that housing counselors often had paper lists of local organizations but it was difficult and time consuming to keep these up to date.

In 2005, she joined forces with professor Dr. J. Michael Collins to build the technology to offer a one stop shop of resources that lenders could use to help direct people to reputable organization that could help. Today that company is SpringFour and makes over 1 million referrals each year.
